Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says it "breaks my heart" when he has to leave out players, as he considers changes for the Carabo Cup quarter-final at Leicester.
Captain Vincent Kompany is a doubt again with a muscle problem and midfielder David Silva could be absent again for personal reasons.
Goalkeeper Claudio Bravo and midfielder Yaya Toure could come into the team.
Wilfred Ndidi is banned for Leicester after being sent off on Saturday.
Guardiola was asked about Sergio Aguero's reaction at being replaced by Gabriel Jesus after an hour of Saturday's 4-1 win over Tottenham.
"That's normal," Guardiola said. "The players want to play and I can understand him.
"Always I don't want to hurt the players, believe me. Always I understand them because I was a football player and they want to play.
"I trust the guys a lot. I don't want to offend the players. For me, it breaks my heart when Danilo cannot play, Bernardo [Silva] cannot play, Yaya cannot play, when other players cannot play.
"It breaks my heart because they deserve [to play] but we have no other choice."
Leicester defender Robert Huth (ankle) and midfielder Matty James (Achilles) remain out for Foxes boss Claude Puel - who is expected to make changes.
Puel lost last season's final to Manchester United when he was in charge of Southampton.
"The next game will tell us if this [winning the cup] is possible or not because we have to play a fantastic team," he said.
"They are the top team in Europe and it's difficult to beat this team - all the teams try without a good result.
"It's a good opportunity, a strong challenge for us to try to beat them. It's a unique game, a quarter-final, a cup game and not a Premier League game and with the support of our fans we can make a fortress at the King Power Stadium."
