CRACK WPA/WPA2 WIFI PASSWORD WITHOUT DICTIONARY/BRUTE FORE ATTACK USING FLUXION

13:38 0
Fluxion, A Key To Pentesting/Hacking Your WPA/WPA2 Security Without Brute Force
Fluxion script has been available for a while and is most apt for security researchers and pentesters to test their network security by hacking WPA/WPA2 security without brute forcing it. Fluxion is based on another script called linset. Fluxion is not much different from Linset but makes use of certain improvements, bug fixes, and additional features. Fluxion works by using something like a man in the middle attack/ evil twin attack to get WPA password instead of going the bruteforce/dictionary route.
Fluxion is compatible with the latest release of Kali (Rolling). Latest builds (stable) and (beta) here. Kindly read theFluxion Wiki to get the full tutorial.
Disclaimer : Use this tool only on networks you own. Hacking networks that you don’t own may be illegal in your country
How it works:
Step 1: Scan the networks.
Step 2: Capture a handshake (can’t be used without a valid handshake, it’s necessary to verify the password)
Step 3: Use WEB Interface *
Step 4: Launch a FakeAP instance to imitate the original access point
Step 5: Spawns a MDK3 process, which deauthenticates all users connected to the target network, so they can be lured to connect to the FakeAP and enter the WPA password.
Step 6: A fake DNS server is launched in order to capture all DNS requests and redirect them to the host running the script
Step 7: A captive portal is launched in order to serve a page, which prompts the user to enter their WPA password
Step 8: Each submitted password is verified by the handshake captured earlier
Step 9: The attack will automatically terminate, as soon as a correct password is submitted
Requirements:
  • Linux operating system
  • Kali Linux 2 or Kali 2016.1 rolling or
  • Kali 2 & 2016 support the latest Aircrack-ng versions
  • External Wi-Fi card is recommended

National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS)
The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has announced the death of its former National President, Mr Dauda Mohammed, 38, due to a protracted illness.
NANS’ President, Mr Chinonso Obasi, who spoke in Abuja, said Mohammed died on Sunday enroute India where he had gone for medical treatment.
Obasi said that the mail sent to him by Artemis Group of Hospitals, Delhi, indicated that Mohammed passed on five minutes before landing at Delhi Airport.
He said that the mail indicated that the hospital would conduct an autopsy on Oct.3 after which his remains would be released for transportation back to Nigeria.
Mohammed departed Abuja for India on Sept. 30 to receive treatment for liver cirrhosis.
According to health experts, cirrhosis is a chronic progressive disease of the liver characterised by the replacement of healthy cells with scar tissue.
“We declare one-month mourning and national action against cancer as we pray God to console his family.
“We also declare a national action against cancer and appeal to the government at all levels to be more proactive on issues pertaining to the health of citizens.
“Medical facilities in Nigeria should be standardised to enable our medical personnel handle complex forms of sicknesses,’’ Obasi said.
The NANS president said that Mohammed’s family had been informed of his demise.
Born in 1979, Mohammed, who was NANS’ President from 2011 to 2012, attended the University of Jos (UNIJOS).

Governor suspends headmaster, seven teachers for absenteeism

15:35 0
Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi on Friday suspended Augustine Eze, Headmaster, Community Primary School, Amazu, Ishielu Local Government Area of the state and seven other teachers for absenteeism.
Mr. Umahi who paid an unscheduled visit to the school directed the suspended teachers to report to the Chairman of the local government, Mr Henry Eze.
He further directed that the council chairman should refer them to the Chairman of the state Universal Basic Education, UBEB, for more disciplinary actions.
He gave N300,000 cash to the 15 teachers present during the visit to change their wardrobe, expressing dissatisfaction with the way they dressed.
The governor engaged them in an academic exercise, drilling them in English Language and Mathematics.
He condemned the nonchalant attitude of some civil servants in Ebonyi and warned that the State Government would no longer tolerate the conduct of workers who were not committed to the duties.

“It is very unfortunate the way and manner some of our civil servants do their jobs without passion.
“We have called for change in our attitude to and perception of what we refer to as government property.
“It is absurd that pupils will be in the school and the school headmaster and teachers will brazenly be absent.
“We shall not take this anymore and the headmaster and the absentee teachers are hereby suspended.
“They are directed to report to the chairman of the local government area who will take them to the UBEB chairman; they must be transferred after serving their suspension,” Umahi said.
He urged the teachers present during his visit to double their efforts and use the money he gave them to buy new clothes and look neat and smart before their pupils.

Prof. Olanrewaju Fagbohun, Vice-Chancellor, Lagos State University (LASU).
The Lagos State University (LASU), has dispelled the rumour of a publication of its purportedly released cut-off marks for different courses and departments for the ongoing 2017/2018 admission exercise on the social media.
Mr Adekoya Martins, the Acting Head, Centre for Information, Press and Public Relations (CIPPR), told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday that the said publication was not from the information arm of the university.
Martins described the purported publication as “misleading” and warned the public to disregard it.

He disclosed that the university’s official cut-off mark for candidates to apply for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) screening had been put at 190.
“The public should kindly disregard the misleading publication and always check the university’s dedicated social media platforms for genuine and valid information about the institution,’’ he said.

Academic, commercial activities resume in UI

20:34 0

Academic and commercial activities have resumed at the University of Ibadan after a six-week strike by Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
Lectures have resumed, while administrative offices were also open for operations.
Non-academic staff members were seen in their various offices while businesses in the university were full of activities.
Some students, who spoke with NAN, expressed happiness at the suspension of the strike.
They thanked ASUU and the Federal Government for fruitful dialogue which led to the suspension of the strike.
A first-year law student, Miss Oluwadamilola Salako, told NAN that she was happy when ASUU ended the strike.
Salako said that she was bored at home.
“I was expecting a prolonged strike and was happy when ASUU stopped the industrial action.
“I hope that the academic calendar has not been fully disrupted,’’ she said.
A fifth-year student of electrical/electronic engineering, Mr Alo Oluwabamise, also expressed delight at the development.
He, however, said that ASUU strike had become recurrent.
“The last ASUU strike took almost six months. “All I know is that, for a better education system, the present administration should work toward the total overhaul of the sector.
“Strike does not help in any way; it only brings setback. I do not blame ASUU for whatever agitation because the union’s demands are genuine,’’ he said.
When contacted, the university’s Director of Communication and Publications, Mr Olatunji Oladejo, said that the management would soon announce an adjusted academic calendar.
NAN reports that the university management had in a press release signed by the Registrar, Mr Olu Olujimi, informed the general public, especially students, that second-semester lectures began on Tuesday.
Lecturers in public universities, under the aegis of ASUU, embarked on what they described as a total, comprehensive and indefinite nationwide strike on Aug. 13.
The lecturers protested non-implementation of the 2009 agreement and the 2013 Memorandum of Understanding it entered into with the Federal Government.
The union suspended the strike conditionally on Sept. 18 after dialogues with a Federal Government delegation headed by the Minister of Labour, Dr Chris Ngige.

JAMB boss urges Nigerian elites to encourage dependents to obtain first degree at home

15:57 0

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has urged the elites to encourage their dependents to obtain their first degree in Nigeria before going for further studies abroad.
JAMB Registrar Prof. Ishaq Oloyede gave the advice in Abuja on Friday while speaking with newsmen.
The registrar was speaking on the sidelines of a workshop on intensive Training and Sensitisation Forum on Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) for the 2017/2018 academic session.
According to him, it will be worthwhile for the children to obtain the first degree in the country where the public and private institutions are of high quality and standard rather than study abroad at institutions that are of poor quality and low standard.
It is better for the elite in Nigeria to let their wards and children attend universities, higher institutions in Nigeria, at least for the first degree.
“But if they wish to go for Masters, PhD and so on elsewhere, there is nothing bad about that.
“But for the first degree, we have enough universities here – both public and private because when most of them go outside Nigeria to study, they do that at private institutions.
“And I know countries in Africa where Nigerian students constitute 90 per cent of the class in every set as if those institutions were set up for Nigerians.
“What we are saying is that you have better value if you send your children to private universities in Nigeria than sending them to study at private universities of poor quality outside Nigeria,’’ Oloyede said, as he called on owners of private universities to consider the economic situation in the country and make tuition fees affordable for parents.
He said that the institutions were operating in a competitive world and that failure to check excessive increase in tuition fees could force many of the schools to close shop
“I believe that private institutions are established for worthy purpose.

“ I also believe that private institutions’ charges are high, but they are not as high as travelling outside the country and people still send a large number of students to inferior universities.
“ If you care I will show you on my telephone, I was in Uganda, I was in a number of African countries about a month ago.
“And if you see the condition; I am disturbed by the fact that not only that the conditions were not conducive, But also because 90 percent of the students are from Nigeria.

JAMB introduces ‎new admission system to curb ‘under the table admission’[FULL DETAILS]

02:50 0
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, on Thursday said the newly Introduced Central Admissions Processing System, CAPS, would restore autonomy of Institutions and also curb what it calls ‘under the table admission’ that was common in the past.
The Registrar of the Board, Ishaq Oloyede said this in Abuja during a Training and Sensitisation Forum on Central Admissions Processing system, CAPS, for 2017/2018 Academic Session.

The CAPs according to the board will ensure that candidates are fairly treated, expend admission opportunities as well as protect academic calendar.
Oloyede identified lack of adequate space in Nigeria’s Tertiary Institutions as the reason why the conduct of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, would be necessary because of lack of enough space in Nigeria’s tertiary institutions.
He emphasized that JAMB is a ranking body and not an examination conducting body like West Africa Examinations Council, WAEC, National Examinations Council, NECO and National Business and Technical Examinations Board, NABTEB.

Oloyede condemned the “Under the table admission” decrying situations where Institutions admit above stipulated capacity.
“JAMB is a ranking body not an examination body like WAEC and NECO, JAMB is to rank and to screen already qualified candidates, emphatically pass or fail is not the focus of any ranking body”.
The Registrar stressed that it is not the board that qualifies a candidate but examination bodies and JAMB is not a certificate awarding institution.
“If there are enough spaces in our Tertiary Institutions there may be no need to conduct UTME”, he said.
Oloyede emphasized that Ordinary or Advanced level results are key qualifying requirements for admissions and that the board will not consider any candidates unless qualified by A/ O levels.

Speaking on the 2017/2018 Cut Off Marks, Oloyede explained stakeholders picked 120,110 and 100 respectively for Universities and other Institutions as threshold below which no Institutions can admit candidates.

The Registrar noted that scoring higher than the required Cut off mark does not guarantee admission but makes candidates eligible for Admission consideration.
“The cut off mark is not fail or pass mark, it is not total score but one of the many factors that will be used for admission such as Post-UTME (where applicable),” he noted.
Oloyede identified China, Iran, Republic of Georgia, Spain, and Turkey as countries of the world that share similarities with Nigeria in the conduct of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Board.
The training is to empower stakeholders in enhancing efficiency.

High UTME score doesn't guarantee admission-JAMB REGISTRAR

02:23 0

Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, said, yesterday, that high Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) does not guarantee admission into any university.
Oloyede said only a combination of JAMB cut-off marks, post-UTME, O’ level results and other admission criteria, as determined by institutions, can ensure candidates’ admission.
The registrar disclosed this at an intensive Training and Sensitisation Forum on Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) for the 2017/2018 academic session in Abuja.
Oloyede said scoring higher than the minimum cut-off marks does not guarantee admission but makes candidates eligible for admission consideration.
He added that institutions determine the institutional, programme and course cut-off marks and other admission criteria, in exercise of their autonomy.
According to him, the cut-off mark by JAMB is only a threshold, below which no institution can admit candidates.
“JAMB is not an examination body, rather, it is a ranking body. If there are enough spaces in tertiary institutions, there may not be need for UTME.
“ JAMB is a screening body; to rank already qualified candidates. It is a coordinating and clearing house.
“The cut-off mark is not a pass or fail mark. It is not the total score but one of many factors such as post-UTME (where applicable), O’ Level results scoring, e.t.c.,” he explained.
He added that regulating agencies, such as the National Universities Commission (NUC), National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE), among others, could decide the admission quota for institutions and further explained that JAMB introduced CAPS so as to ensure that every UTME candidate gets fair treatment.
Oloyede said with CAPS, candidates now have the choice to either accept or reject admission offer.
He, however, advised candidates to ensure that they indicate the acceptance or rejection of admission online and on time, to enable processing of onward admission.
The JAMB helmsman urged higher institutions to comply with advertised criteria for admission, including cut-off marks.
Oloyede also said Nigeria operates the same system of admission procedure with other countries such as China, Iran, Republic of Georgia, Spain and Turkey.
On August 22, 2017, JAMB, at a policy meeting with institutions, decided to peg the 2017/2018 UTME cut-off marks for degree awarding institutions at 120.
The meeting also pegged at 100, cut-off marks for admissions for National Diploma (ND) and Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE), among others.
